How often should I repaint my home's exterior in Charlotte?

What is the best time of year to paint a house exterior in Charlotte?

Spring through fall is ideal — we look for stretches of dry weather with daytime highs between 50°F and 90°F and overnight lows that stay above 50°F. April–June and September–October are the sweet spots in the Carolinas. We can paint year-round when conditions allow.

Do I need to be home while you paint the exterior?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. We just need access to outdoor faucets, a power source, and any gates. Many of our customers go to work as normal while we paint.

Do you repair wood rot before painting?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We inspect trim, soffits, fascia, and siding for rot during the quote, and we include repair work in the estimate. Painting over rotted wood is a waste of paint and money.

Can you paint brick or stucco?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We paint brick exteriors with breathable masonry paints designed to let moisture escape, and we patch and paint stucco with products built for that surface. Both surfaces require different prep and paint than siding does, and we have experience with both.

Sherwin-Williams Duration and Emerald exterior, and Benjamin Moore Aura exterior. Both are top-tier exterior paints designed for southern climates. Premium paint isn't an upcharge — it's the standard on every exterior job we do.

What does the 3-year warranty cover?

Accepted Answer

Our written 3-year workmanship warranty covers peeling, blistering, and adhesion failures caused by our application or prep. We come back and fix it at no charge. The warranty doesn't cover damage from things outside our control like storms, impact, or settling.
